Nicole Brown

On June 23, Nicole Brown was walking with a friend near the Rio Theater when she became a hit and run victim. “The impact threw her body 40-feet, knocking down two mailboxes, and finally stopping her when she hit a parked car in someone’s driveway leaving a sizeable dent in the car,” said Brown’s Grandmother Vicki Wees.
Brown is alive.  She suffered severe injuries and the family anticipates Brown may need extensive medical attention in the future. “Despite the severity of Nicole’s injuries she has always had a deep well of strength and courage she’s drawn upon during times of crises,” said Wees.
“Nicole’s injuries are serious and there will be a long road ahead, with uncertainty about her future. She is not the type to wallow in self pity and we are confident that in time Nicole will create a good life for herself,” said Wees. “She’s a very strong and determined young woman and if anyone can do this, Nicole can.”
Wees describes her granddaughter as “one of those people you are easily drawn to. She’s not only a lovely young woman, but she’s very kind hearted and compassionate. She spent years secretly helping those less fortunate when she was young.”
Wees stated that Brown will need the “best medical help available to help her heal as much as possible.”
