Winter for Felton Fire Board
Last summer, I read in the Press Banner that Felton Fire was having serious challenges. I attended a community meeting at the Felton Community Center, along with more than 100 other residents. Craig Winter and Isaac Blum, who had recently stepped in as volunteer fire chief, organized the meeting.
They explained what had gone wrong at Felton Fire and, more importantly, laid out a roadmap for rebuilding the district. My wife and I were very impressed. After the meeting, I went up and introduced myself to Craig. The next thing I knew, I was involved.
Craig was subsequently appointed to the Felton Fire Board, and I began attending the board meetings. Over the past year, I have watched him work to get the community involved, improve communication and help move the district forward.
Now Craig is running for election to the Felton Fire Board. I encourage Felton residents to meet him and learn for themselves what he wants to accomplish. Craig will be at the Felton Farmers Market every Tuesday from 1:30 to 5 p.m. You can also learn more at WinterForFeltonFire.com.
