Linda Blenio

Linda Blenio passed away peacefully on September 26, 2015, in the Felton house she called home for 30 years. She was surrounded by family and friends who showered her with love and appreciation as she drew her last breaths.
Linda had battled glioblastoma for nearly a year, and while the disease may have taken her life, it never took the spirit, positivity, and pure love she had for life. Linda’s family and friends will miss her abundant compassion, her caring interest in others’ lives, and perhaps most of all, her beautiful and fantastic laugh.
Linda was born in San Jose, California, to Gerald and Kathryn Firenzi.  After finishing her schooling, she kept herself busy with her children, Jennifer and Eric, and several different occupations; she ran a day care in Los Gatos, worked in engineering, and, for the last 25 years, worked for Palo Alto Medical Foundation as a phlebotomist.  She counted her years at PAMF as among her favorite.
In her spare time, Linda enjoyed dancing, walking in Henry Cowell Park, going to church, and socializing with her many friends and family. To say Linda loved to dance would be an understatement. She would not hesitate to organize and teach a line dance at a party if she felt the need. Linda also enjoyed playing board games and a night at home with family and friends playing games was always a happy occasion.
Linda is survived by her daughter Jennifer (Jeff) Matlock, her son Eric Blenio, her beloved grandchildren Vincent and Evan, her companion Sam Khalil, her brothers (Paul and Gary), her sisters (Fran and Diane), and countless other loving family and friends.
A Celebration of Linda’s life will be held on October 10, 2015, at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Church in Boulder Creek.

  1. She was the best friend anyone could ask for…..gone nearing 8 years, I miss our friendship of over 50 years. She was brave and had a sense of peace about her. She’s probably dancing with the angels and will be there laughing and ready to show me around when I get to Heaven. Thankful for the memories……….Roseann
