Community invited to Celtic Sunday at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church
St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Ben Lomond will host a Celtic Sunday celebrating Scottish heritage and Celtic spirituality on Oct. 13.
The event begins at 10am with a special worship service featuring bagpiping, traditional Irish hymns and a sermon on contemporary Celtic spirituality. Attendees can also participate in a blessing of tartans and clans, as well as Holy Communion, which is open to all.
Following the service, the community is invited to the parish hall for a luncheon featuring shepherd’s pie and Scottish dancing.

Felton Farmers’ Market to host Pumpkin Decorating Bonanza
The Felton Farmers’ Market will hold its annual Pumpkin Decorating Bonanza on Oct. 15 from 1:30-5:30pm.
This free event invites the community to enjoy a range of activities for all ages in a picturesque woodland setting. Celebrate the harvest season with a market hunt featuring foodie facts, conversations with farmers, and a chance to enter a raffle for prizes.
Participants can select a free pumpkin from Rodoni Farms to decorate with vegetables, string, pipe cleaners, buttons and googly eyes. The event will also include face painting, live music and an art station.
With over 30 years of tradition, the Felton Farmers’ Market connects residents with local growers and offers a diverse selection of organic produce, herbs, eggs and flowers. In addition to the Pumpkin Decorating Bonanza, the market features local food artisans.
The Felton Market operates seasonally from May through October, with the final market day on Oct. 29.
