Services will be Monday, June 21, in Ben Lomond for Mark Watson, who died in Santa Cruz at the age of 55. Born in Alameda, Mr. Watson had been a resident of Santa Cruz County since 1979.
Independence at a price
Scott Shults, 41, lived in a nursing home for nine years after an accident that left him with brain damage and in a wheelchair. Shults was 27 years old at the time.
