9:13 a.m., Disturbance — Starbucks North on Scotts Valley Drive. Woman wearing a beanie hat, a black jacket, Ugg boots and sweatpants refused to leave the coffee shop after harassing customers. A report was taken for threats made against store staff by the woman.
8:56 p.m., Theft—Bubbles Laundromat on Whispering Pines Drive Scotts Valley. A person but clothes in a dryer around 7 p.m. and when they returned, their clothes were gone. About $500 worth of clothing was stolen. A report was taken.
Jan. 17
2:53 p.m., Theft— Kmart on Mt. Hermon Road in Scotts Valley. The store manager of Kmart reported a jewelry case was broken into sometime that day or on Jan. 16. A report was taken.
10:42 p.m., Vandalism — A police officer observed a graffiti tag located on an electrical box will on patrol outside of the 7-Eleven on Mt. Hermon Road in Scotts Valley. A work order was created for public works to remove the graffiti.
Jan. 18
10:34 p.m., Traffic Stop — A police officer stopped a vehicle at Graham Plaza on Mt. Hermon Road. The driver of the vehicle had a suspended license for excessive blood alcohol content. The driver was arrested and released with a court date.
Jan. 19
6:40 p.m., Theft—Kmart on Mt. Hermon Road in Scotts Valley. The reporting party noticed a person taking gas from a red truck into a white bucket. The person taking gas was gone by the time police officers arrived on the scene.
Jan. 20
11:47 a.m., Traffic Stop— A police officer conducted a record check on a vehicle at Scotts Valley Corners. The records check revealed the vehicle’s registration expired in 2013. The vehicle however was displaying a 2018 sticker. The driver admitted he used a pen to change the 2013 to 2018. The driver was arrested and the vehicle was towed.
11:22 p.m., Traffic Stop— A vehicle was stopped by police officers at the intersection of Scotts Valley Drive and Civic Center Drive. One of the occupants in the vehicle was arrested and cited for an outstanding warrant for his arrest. A second occupant in the vehicle was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, heroin, drug paraphernalia and numerous tools used for burglary.
Jan. 21
2:34 a.m., Traffic Stop—A vehicle was stopped by police officers at the intersection of Granite Creek Road and Meadow Way. Both occupants in the vehicle had suspended licenses. The woman occupant was cited for possessing a glass pipe with methamphetamine inside.
3:15 p.m., Vandalism—A person reported vandalism at 76 Gas Station on Mt. Hermon Road. A report was taken.
4:18 p.m., Theft—Kirkorian Circle, Scotts Valley. A person reported an attempted theft of a package on their doorstep. A report was taken.
Jan. 22
1:08 p.m., Theft—Scarbourgh Ace Hardware, Scotts Valley. Two drills and an angle grinder were stolen on Jan. 18, according to a reporting party. A report was taken.
