Press Banner adds two new employees

Two new people have joined the Press Banner in advertising and customer service.
Advertising Director Jeannette Close said the new Press Banner team members will expand the weekly newspaper’s advertising products.
Cherie La France-Anderson of Scotts Valley, a new Advertising Executive, brings extensive experience in advertising sales to the Press Banner team.
She is president of the Scotts Valley Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and shares the Award for Ambassador of the Year 2016 with her husband Kevin Anderson.
Her career includes top performance in high-tech magazine sales, including Macworld magazine. She also has assisted in the growth of several digital start-ups, and was a sales representative for the Santa Cruz Sentinel.
LaFrance-Anderson also co-owned an advertising agency, HL & Partners in Silicon Valley, and later a real estate marketing company with her husband.
“I’m very excited about the opportunities at the Press Banner, a community newspaper truly enjoyed by the community it serves,” she said.
Jessica Anderson, also of Scotts Valley, joins the Press Banner as its Customer Service Representative, handling all front desk duties, plus classified and business directory advertising and obituaries.
Anderson has several years’ experience working in start-ups and in business offices. A native of Aptos, she moved to Scotts Valley in 2015 with her young daughter. She has also spent volunteer time working with special needs children in the community.
