Volleyball team finds success with seniors

A core group of seniors on the Scotts Valley High School volleyball team have started the season with a 4-5 overall record, despite a recent 3-1 loss to visiting Mount Madonna on Tuesday night.

Lydia DeVere Bird was born at 1:24 a.m. Aug. 17, 2009, to Megan DeVere (Christopher) and William Joseph Bird of Felton. She weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces at Sutter Maternity and Surgery Center.
