Charlotte Pearle Berlin, an 8-pound girl, was born to Rachel Laura and Isaac Gaelen Berlin of Ben Lomond at Dominican Hospital. She was born at 1:18 p.m. on May 7, 2015.

2015 Open Studios
The goal of the Open Studios Art Tour is to get artists and art fans together. All across Santa CruzCounty, artists open their studios and their supporters go on tour. The public visits the studios and meet the artists. The visitors get to see how the artist does his or her work and can buy art directly from the source.
Bus burns on Highway 17
On September 9, at about 5:30 p.m., a bus carrying 54 children caught on fire. The children in grades ranging from elementary to high school were part of a singing group from Palo Alto, and were traveling to Santa Cruz.
