Scotts Valley Art, Wine and Beer Festival a Big Hit at Skypark

It was hot! Temperatures ranged between the high 90's and low 100's, but that did not keep visitors home. Family groups were engaging with their children while the kids enjoyed the petting zoos and many other attractions. Some of the kids had their faces painted. Even leashed dogs were seen following or leading their families around the Festival grounds.

Mountain Community Theater Company, a solid team

Just completing the three act comedy, “The Secret Affair of Mildred Wild,” the Mountain Community Theater will be gearing up for their next play. The “Last Noel” runs from November 20 to December 13 and will be directed by Robin Aronson.

Healthy Living: The race that wasn’t

It had been four months since I last raced, and the itch to commit to something had grown incessant. Following the lead of my running partner, Erin, I signed up for the Santa Cruz Mountains 21k, a trail race from Harvey West Park through Pogonip and deep into Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, with two waist-deep river crossings.
