When we think of girls track records at San Lorenzo Valley High School, we think of Ale Barrientos, Lindsay Scarborough, and Taylor Johnson. But a few years before the Rob Collins era took hold in Valley, one girl stood apart from the rest: Jennie Warfield of the graduating class of 1996.

Playoffs are nearing in the San Lorenzo Valley IOOF/SLV summer softball league. In the men’s league, the Flingers have proven themselves by starting the season undefeated but have dropped a few games since. Local girl wins vaulting championship

Salmon fishing has been getting better for fishermen in this area and in the rest of Northern California.

Nick Sherrell, an 18-year-old who graduated from San Lorenzo Valley High School in June, finished ninth overall and first in the under-20 age group in the Headlands 50 and Marathon, a trail run in Marin County, on July 16.
