Crisp autumn nights are the norm in Scotts Valley and the San Lorenzo Valley, and as winter approaches, the flu bug begins to strike.
Some local grocery stores, pharmacies and clinics have standard flu shots available. Doctors may have a supply of flu shots available, but others have a waiting list as they await new shipments.
Residents are advised to call ahead to ensure that ample doses of the annual flu shot are available. Flu shot days may also be announced at local markets and community events.
