Signed letters to the editor or commentaries may be brought to the newspaper office or e-mailed to pbeditor@pressbanner.com. Letters of fewer than 350 words that deal with local public issues will be given preference. Letters will be edited for length, clarity and civility. Routine thank-you letters will not be published. All letters must include the name, address and daytime phone number of the writer. Only the name will be published. Commentaries are opinion pieces that are 500 to 750 words. The editor will consider all commentaries on a space-available basis.
