It was a historic run for the San Lorenzo Valley High softball team after it finished with an unblemished record in league play en route to winning the Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League title outright this season.
The Cougars (21-2, 15-0) were led by junior Alyssa Struthers—the league’s Most Valuable Player—and Pitcher of the Year senior Ameila Sizemore.
Fellow teammates sophomore Angie Fulkerson, junior Olivia Renouf and senior Bella Reynolds, along with Scotts Valley sophomores Jazzy Doubek and Taylor Wilson all earned All-SCCAL First Team honors.
The all-league second team honorees include SLV sophomore Cheyenne Owen and senior Anaya Sutcliffe, and Scotts Valley freshman Jazzy Phillips.
