SVFD hosts successful strategic planning workshop
On March 7, the Scotts Valley Fire District hosted a strategic planning workshop to develop vision and goals for the department’s next five years.
I want to commend and thank community stakeholders, administrative staff, fire suppression personnel, chief officers and fire board members for participating in this very rigorous process. I especially want to thank Fire Chief Mark Correira for initiating the four-day workshop and including input from so many. Thank you also to our technical advisors from the Center of Public Safety Excellence out of Reston, Va.
I witnessed a collaboration of innovative problem solving, unity and dedication. It was an honor to participate in this process with so many amazing individuals.
