Dear Editor,
Regarding the problem of jet noise, the congressional Select Committee process was supposed to be about, well…. jet noise. Not moving the path from one community to another. All this talk about regional solutions and helping everyone resolve jet noise equally was just a farce. The simple truth is that Quiet Skies NorCal and Save Our Skies Santa Cruz just want the flight path out from over their homes and moved to San Lorenzo Valley, western Scotts Valley, Santa Cruz and Summit neighborhoods. That’s ridiculous and the very worst of NIMBYism. The best solution is for the FAA to fix SERFR in place – starting with higher altitudes. If that doesn’t solve the noise problem, then there is more work to do on SERFR. If it does solve the noise problem, then no need to move the path.
