SVHS Varsity Falcons VS SLVHS Cougars- Women’s Basketball

Ella Giguiere scored a season- high 29 points and the Falcons moved into a tie for second place in the SCCAL with their win .

SLVMS Basketball Win

The SLVMS Boys 8th Grade Basketball team capped off another stellar season by winning their Post Season tournament at the Ed Kelly Classic at Notre Dame Middle School. Their Championship win caps a 3-year Undefeated run (6th-8th grades). Way to go Boys!!

SLVMS Dodgeball Tournament Winners

These 7 boys won the 2020 SLVMS lunchtime 7 vs. 7 dodgeball tournament.

SLV Girls Varsity Basketball

Santa Cruz 66 Beats SLV 21 played at Santa Cruz. Sophomore Abby Lahey had six points and six rebounds for SLV. Senior Abbie Monroy contributed with four points, five rebounds, and three steals for the Cougars. Freshman Amelia Sizemore had five points. It was "Go 4 the Goal" helping kids with cancer achieve their goals.  SLV hosts SV on Tuesday.

Basketball: SLV VS Soledad

The Cougars rallied from a 10-point deficit in the third quarter Thursday and claimed the nonleague win.

SVH Falcons Basketball Wrangles the Mustangs

The Scotts Valley High Falcons played the Monte Vista Mustangs in non-league action tonight.  After being down 12-9 at the end of the first quarter,  the Falcons went on to outscore the Mustangs 43-26 to win the game 52-38.  Leading the Falcons in scoring was senior Derek Tom with 11 points, juniors Daniel Sullivan, and Jack Fletcher with 8 points each.  Also contributing off the bench was junior Lance Ultsch with 7 points, 5 rebounds,  2 assists,  3 blocks and a steal.

Falcons Make History With 2nd Place Finish at CIF State Championships

Scotts Valley High’s Mitch Ross picked the perfect day to run the race of his life. On the biggest stage, at the CIF State Cross Country Championships, and in his final race as a Falcon, held last Saturday in Fresno, the senior surprised everyone, including himself, by finishing the Division lV race in second place, and by doing so, helped Scotts Valley garner second place as a team, the best finish in school history.

Scotts Valley Little League Majors Wins District 39 Championship

Scotts Valley Little League Majors are the Northern California District 39 Champions! The team of 12-year-olds defeated Santa Cruz 6-4 to advance to the sectionals. Congratulations boys!

Lewis Lahood: Scotts Valley High School’s New Football Coach

Lewis Lahood, a standout Falcon lineman from 2010, former championship-winning JV coach, and 2018 Varsity assistant coach, has taken on the Varsity head coaching spot for the 2019 season.
