Minors Division
Red Sox 8, Giants 2
The Red Sox scored five runs in the third inning as Andy Wise went 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored and Howard Forehan doubled for the Sox.
Michael Romero and Max Noble both reached base twice for the Giants, and Manny Smith struck out five.
Cardinals 10, Yankees 1
The Cardinals scored three runs in the second and third innings to put the game out of reach. Julian Aldridge struck out 10 and brother Jacob Aldridge struck out five as the Cardinals limited the Yankees to two hits.
Offensively, Ben Grove singled and scored to help the effort.
Cole Sitton struck out five for the Yankees, and teammate Scott Poetzinger tripled and drove in a run. Ben Kanter also singled and scored.
Majors Division
Scotts Valley Rangers 3, SLV Phillies 2
In a back-and-forth game, Robbie Carling hit a double, driving in Matt Robustelli to give the Phillies the lead in the third inning. However, the Rangers stormed back and Sawyer Stemm grounded out to send in Trevor Ponos with the go-ahead run in the fifth.
D’Shawn Hopkins struck out 11 Rangers in 5-2/3 innings, and Stemm had six strikeouts in 2-1/3 innings.
SLV Indians 10, Scotts Valley A’s 4
Tanner Murray went 3-for-5 with a two doubles and scored three times in the rout. Jack Gentry pitched four innings and went 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Charlie Weigel slammed a bases-loaded triple in the Indians’ four-run first inning.
Defensively, the Indians turned a first-to-third double play in the second inning.
For the A’s, Beau Larie doubled, Kyle Gingieve had a single and double, and Jacob Utic went 1-for-1 with two walks and two runs scored.

Majors Division
Rangers 10, Giants 4
The Rangers’ Dalton Locke had three hits and two RBIs; Sawyer Stemm had a double, a single and two RBIs; and Travis Lane knocked in three runs on a triple and a sacrifice fly. Stemm and Trevor Ponos both scored three times.
The Giants were led by a 4-for-4 day from Gregory Neiger, two hits from Jack Palmer and a double from Ryan Myers.
Rangers 3, SLV Phillies 2
Tim Wagner and Ponos held the Phillies scoreless for the last 3-2/3 innings of this tightly contested game.
Stemm started on the mound and recorded six of his seven outs on strikeouts, while at the plate he singled, walked and had the game-winning RBI. Wagner and Kyle Raymond each had an RBI, with Raymond reaching on two bunt singles and Wagner twice by being hit by the pitch. Ponos doubled and scored two runs. Hard-throwing SLV starter D’Shawn Hopkins had 11 strikeouts in 5-2/3 innings.
Robbie Carling doubled in the third inning, driving in Matt Robustelli to give the Phillies the lead.
Giants 4, Cardinals 1
The previously undefeated Cardinals fell before home runs by Myers and Josh Anderson, with Anderson’s blast knocking out two lights on the scoreboard. Myers was 3-for-3, and Palmer and Anderson both had two hits. Starter Palmer struck out six through 5-2/3 innings.
Joe Kim, Jake Wiechmann, Drew Collishaw, Reilly Merlo and Chris Copriviza had hits for the Cardinals.
Brewers 10, Cardinals 2
The Brewers won this early-season showdown of teams tied for first, led by Trevor Alvarez, who had three hits and scored three runs. Teammates Nick Carli had two hits, Caleb Bassi doubled, and Robert Reimer, Matt Braverman and Ryan Edwards had singles. Starting pitcher Carli fanned eight, and Dawson Danner added three strikeouts in relief.
A.J. Collishaw, Drew Collishaw, Owen Rockow and Cole Amodeo hit safely for the Cardinals.
Giants 4, SLV Red Sox 3
Tanner Spence pitched three no-run, one-hit innings in relief, saving a 4-3 lead while striking out four. Anderson was the hitting star for the Giants, with two doubles and three RBIs. Palmer added two singles.
Cardinals 10, Rangers 5
Following a wild first inning that had the Cardinals leading 5-4, Amodeo hit a grand slam to right-center in the top of the second to put them in front for good. Wiechmann and Rockow drew three walks, Drew Collishaw had two hits, and A.J. Collishaw, Jakey Kim and Georgia Parsons all hit safely for the winners.
The Rangers’ Stemm had two hits, and Ponos, Wagner, Travis Lane and John Marshall each had one.
AAA Division
Marlins 16, White Sox 5
Conor Santos and Tanner Steen both had three hits for the Marlins, while teammates Mitchell Gaspar, Niklas Ohlsson, R.J. Erwin and Nathan Myers each had two. Starting pitcher Gaspar threw three no-hit innings and struck out seven, while reliever Ohlsson closed the game with two innings of no-hit ball.
For the White Sox, Neil Pacella had two hits, Zach Washburn had one hit and Nick Endres walked three times.
Braves 16, Astros 13
Luke Balch, Ian Gallagher, Garrett Hormel, Erik Olson and Nathan Schaeffer all had two hits to lead a balanced Braves attack. Reliever Joe Murray shut down the Astros over the last two innings, allowing no runs while striking out five, while he and Shane Ford each drove in two runs in the final inning with a ground-rule double and single, respectively. 
Scott Birlem led the Astros with three hits and as many RBIs, and Zach Snider scored three runs.
