Dallas A. Sutton Jr.: Oct. 14, 1936 — March 21, 2013

By his request, no services will be held for longtime Felton resident Dallas “Dal” Sutton Jr., who died last month. He was 76.
Mr. Sutton was born in a forest ranger station near Saguache, Colo., to Dallas and Beulah Sutton. On March 14, 1970, he married Linda Rouse in Las Vegas. 
Mr. Sutton spent most of his life in Colorado and California, living 34 years in Felton. His childhood summers were spent with his parents in Estes Park, Colo., where his father was a forest ranger and he assisted his father with biology research.   
Mr. Sutton attended Eastern Montana College of Education and University of Colorado, Boulder. He began his career in the aircraft industry and moved into the high-tech field, working as a manufacturing engineer in San Jose and Scotts Valley and traveling regularly to Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines to establish new manufacturing plants.
He skied, sailed and enjoyed hiking and geocaching. He was a member of the Santa Cruz Muzzleloaders, the Havasu Gold Seekers and the Santa Cruz County Amateur Radio Club, having attained an Extra Class license at age 72. 
Mr. Sutton’s active sense of humor, calm disposition and loving, supportive attitude will be missed by his family and many friends.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Sutton of Bellevue, Wash.; his mother, Beulah Sutton of Scotts Valley; his daughter, Victoria Sutton of Bellevue, Wash.; and numerous aunts, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Dallas Sutton Sr., and his son, Bradley Sutton.
