There is no support program for home schooling in the Scotts Valley Unified School District, but it does enroll a small number of kindergarten-eighth grade students in its Independent Study program.
For some home-schooling parents who decide to transition back to a classroom setting, Scotts Valley’s Baymonte Christian School has become an option, officials of the private kindergarten through eighth grade school said.

The General Election is November 8, but for the elected public officials in four districts, two water districts, one recreation district and two school districts, there will be no votes. All 22 candidates for offices in these districts in Boulder Creek, Scotts Valley, Felton and Ben Lomond were “appointed in lieu of election” this week, because there were no opponents.
