The San Lorenzo Valley High varsity football team’s resurgent 2014 season came to an end on the south side of Monterey Bay last Friday, as the Pacific Grove High Breakers rode a second-half offensive onslaught to a 37-13 final score over the Cougars in the first round of the Central Coast Section playoffs.

The San Lorenzo Valley High School varsity football team capped off its phenomenal turnaround season in style, clinching a berth in the Central Coast Section playoffs with a dominant 23-6 win over the Soquel High Knights.

Despite missing five key players, the San Lorenzo Valley High Cougars football team hardly missed a beat, handily securing a 35-14 victory over the visiting Harbor High Pirates on Saturday, Nov. 8.

San Lorenzo Valley High School senior Bailey Lotz, signed a letter of intent Wednesday afternoon, accepting a near-full-ride academic and athletic scholarship to Saint Mary’s College of California in Moraga.

Led by a standout performance from junior quarterback Jake Lobo, the Scotts Valley High varsity football team came through on a damp and chilly November evening with a 27-12 Homecoming win over the visiting Santa Cruz High Cardinals.
